1, Arthur Henry Ough, Architect, of

Victoria, Hongkong, solemnly declare that on the 25th. day of

May, 1905, 1 dined with Mr. Chapman at the Staff Quarters of the

Government Civil Hospital, Dr. Laing being present.

At the time l1 left 11.45 p.m. Dr. Laing was

not in any way under the influence of liquor. I make the above

statement concientiously believing the same to be true the

reason for placing this statement in writing being that I am

leaving the Colony on Saturday June 3rd., 1905.
